Been to (what I think was) the last official Lover Unleash book signing with JR Ward at Saratoga Springs, NY today (August 13 2011). Here are the “findings” *giggles*. Got to meet @AD76 and @Aylah50, too.

Here it is:

Lover Reborn (Tohr’s book): OK, she didn’t confirm ANYTHING about who his mate is. She was asked and didn’t answer, a.k.a - covered herself in smurf cloak or some crap. She said the process is interesting because Tohr’s journey is different because of Wellsie, and she can’t have him fall head over heels in a matter of 3 days. It won’t make sense to the readers and it doesn’t make sense to her. She wants to do him justice. He’s been through enough, and the whole process will be a struggle for him. Which is why a year.

Another thing about the book is that we’ll be introduced to a new character, which she already LOVES, called Assail (easy to remember as the beginning of assailant. That’s how I remember it. lol) He is an “old school” vamp, the same way as Wrath is old school, old values, state of mind, etc. Should be mui interesting and in my opinion, swoon worthy. Rawr.

Butch: When asked whether or not his role/character will grow more, she said (and demonstrated by placing her hands a foot apart) that he is a big male, no more room for growth. *THUD*

Qhuinn & Blay: Will NOT get their HEA in Tohr’s book. In fact, we’ll get some angst, and things will not make us happy. She asked very nicely (and was kind of badass-scary when she did) to remember that it WILL be okay at the end. We all know how thing will end, it’s just a matter of trusting her to get the boys there. She also said that about 3/4 into Lover Reborn, if we pay close attention to their storyline, we’ll be able to figure out how things will be solved. *I have a feeling we need to read through this book slowly and internalize every word*.

Next Indiction into the Brotherhood: Has not been written yet. However there is one VERY soon, either at the end of Reborn or the beginning of the book after. She wasn’t allowed to say who it will be. Her boss is one tough lady. Even I was scared.

Envy: 3 lucky ladies got a signed copy of Envy today. The first one to have her book signed, the first question about Envy in the Q&A and the person who traveled the farthest to come to the signing. Didn’t even occur to me to say I came all the way from the Holy Land. Well, crap. lol

There’s going to be a threesome in Envy: Ad, Eddie and…. ???

The vamps will have a “cameo” in Envy, where they blast rap music in the Escalade driving 80mph on the highway. JR enacted the scene, and it was hysterical. The woman has no limits. *snort*

The book after Envy may be called Rapture but it hasn’t been finalized yet. 

Young novellas: Rhage and Mary’s is partially written, and WARD was gushing all over about how much she loves the stories (that she still has mostly in her mind). Also, gushed and swooned and turned into a cooing badass woman over Phury and Cormia’s Ahgy (sp?). She says he beyond adorable. *Squeee*

Trez and iAm: Will both get their HEA in the SAME book. They are the shadows, and their stories will be told simultaneously (kinda). One of their mates we already know, the other has not been introduced yet.

General stuff: The WARDen’s Golden Retriever is so so so adorable. He was scared as hell from all the screaming ladies and the commotion, but awww. I decided his name is George. It’s not. JSYK.

When asked about whether or not she’ll be writing V and Jane’s mating ceremony, she said that she might, she doesn’t know yet, but we’re to assume they ARE mated. It may go in the next Insider’s Guide, the next book, or she’ll just have to write a “Wedding book”. lol - I’m pretty sure the 2nd option was a joke, but you never know with her.

She said that everything she writes, as small as it is (like Boo, for example) she writes into the books for a reason. It may be revealed in the next book, or 10 books ahead, she doesn’t know. It will happen when it needs to happen. And some things get clearer in future books because they are told from different POV and some of the timelines overlap. After all, she IS telling us each of the vamps’ stories. *not sure what the point of me conveying this part from the signing, but whatevs*

JR’s mom is the shit! The woman is awesome. She used to edit the first books, and has read them all, advised on them all, and gets a kick out of her own daughter. @AD76 and I got to talk to her and JR’s gran at the parking lot after the signing, and thanked her profusely for giving birth to JR. She got a laugh out of that. Teehee.

JR is beyond funny, has a fuckawesome foul mouth and I’m pretty sure lives off of RedBulls, because there’s no way the woman has this much energy. She doesn’t look like she’s eating. Her energizer bunny “power” has to come from somewhere, no?

To anyone who doesn’t know, her favorite brother is Zsadist. That’s no big secret, yet she’s being asked that every time. Oh well.

In short, it was a great day, and I finally got to meet @AD76.
